Job summary

ABB Oy, High Power division in Helsinki, is seeking a Design Engineer to join the power electronics design group. The role is based in Pitäjänmäki with a hybrid work model.

You will design, dimension and verify main circuits for frequency converters, research new components and topologies, and document results while collaborating with other design disciplines. English fluency is required; Finnish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in power electronics or related field.
• Experience with main circuit components of electrical drives.
• Proven product development experience in power electronics.
• Experience with simulation tools such as Simulink.
• Proficient in English; Finnish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, dimension and verify main circuits and power electronics for frequency converters.
• Specify and analyze verification tests; create design documentation.
• Research new components and topologies.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and other design disciplines.
