Job summary

Redly Games is seeking a Senior Game Engineer (Unreal) to join a small, passionate team building an upcoming mobile game. You will own significant features and systems in Unreal Engine 5, influencing architectural decisions and production readiness for a mobile live-service title.

You’ll work closely with design and gameplay teams, translating ideas into responsive player experiences while shaping the underlying tech that scales as the project grows.

Qualifications

• Significant professional game development experience with Unreal Engine and C++.
• Experience shipping Unreal titles or features.
• Strong architectural and systems thinking for scalable game tech.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across teams.
• Open to adopting AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Build and own Unreal Engine features from early prototype to polish.
• Design game systems for player state, progression, persistence, and content.
• Collaborate with design to translate ideas into player-friendly implementations.
• Balance feature work with system-level work and pragmatic investment.
• Shape architecture, standards, and patterns across the Unreal codebase.
• Identify tech debt and risk and plan remediation.
• Review code and share knowledge with the team.
• Improve performance, stability and scalability for mobile targets.
• Collaborate with backend, gameplay, and external partners.
• Adapt as the game evolves and players learn.
