Job summary

Elisa is growing its Growth Product Development team and seeks a Senior Software Developer to design, build, test and operate software for new digital products and services in Helsinki. You will work across rapid experiments, MVPs and production-grade solutions, blending AI-enabled features with reliable software delivery.

You will collaborate with product, design and business colleagues, take ownership from idea to production, and learn new technologies in a flexible, hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Several years of solid experience in modern, production-grade software development.
• Strong hands-on programming skills and the ability to independently deliver working software.
• Practical experience with generative AI, large language models or AI-enabled application development.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools as part of your software engineering workflow.
• Ability to turn unclear problems into concrete experiments, solutions or product increments.
• Understanding of software quality, testing, security, maintainability and scalability.
• Ability to assess technical solutions from customer, business, cost and operational perspectives.
• Proactive working style and ability to identify what should be investigated, tested or built next.
• Well-founded opinions and the confidence to communicate them constructively.
• Good collaboration and communication skills in a cross-functional environment.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, industries and business models.

• Designing and implementing new features and services.

• Developing AI-enabled features and applications.

• Performing code reviews, testing and test automation.
• Contributing to deployment, monitoring and other DevOps activities.
• Collaborating closely with product, design, business and other technical experts.
• Helping the team identify the most valuable next step.
