Job summary

Jobtailor in Helsinki is seeking an experienced senior full-stack engineer to build scalable gamification features for our cybersecurity training platform. You will own frontend and backend work using TypeScript, React, Node.js and MongoDB to deliver end-to-end capabilities across multi-channel simulations.

You will join a fast-moving team and be expected to ship impactful features within the first 90 days, while shaping architecture for massive scale and AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and React
• Experience building backend services and APIs
• Experience with Node.js and MongoDB
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale systems used by real end-users
• Track record of reliably and consistently delivering results
• Strong builder mindset and high-capacity execution
• Strong product mindset
• Ability to balance technical quality with user value and business impact
• AI-native mindset, curious about AI-assisted workflows and teams of agents
• Deep focus on system logic and architecture is a bonus
• Located in the Uusimaa region or willing to relocate

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver scalable, highly reliable full-stack features for the gamification platform
• Develop innovative ways to train users on evolving cybersecurity threats
• Scale and evolve systems not originally designed for the current massive scale
• Collaborate with Product Management and engineering peers to plan, scope, and execute projects
• Build simulations for modern AI attacks, including deepfake and voice-agent attacks
• Extend the simulation engine for multi-channel attacks across email, chat, and phone
• Design and ship gamification features such as leaderboards, achievements, and learning paths
• Become productive in the technology stack and ship features within the first 90 days
• Drive significant end-to-end projects and contribute to architectural decisions by month six
• Serve as a trusted technical owner within the team
