Job summary

Virta Ltd is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for iOS & Android to own the mobile experience across Europe’s EV charging platform. You will lead architectural decisions, work on the native apps, and help scale the product with a senior team.

The role emphasizes architectural direction, code quality, and mentorship, with hybrid onsite work and a strong emphasis on collaboration with backend, product, and design teams to ensure a seamless driver experience.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering production mobile apps on iOS and Android.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin/Swift and mobile architectures.
• Experience with async patterns: Swift Concurrency and Kotlin Coroutines/Flow.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead design reviews.
• Excellent English communication and hybrid onsite availability.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical direction for iOS and Android codebases, guiding architecture, modularization, and state management to keep the mobile platform scalable.
• Build the hard parts end-to-end, including intricate driver/mobile flows and shared foundations for white-label apps.
• Define testing strategy, review practices, and release discipline to uphold quality in production.
• Mentor mobile engineers through design reviews and pairing to raise the team’s capability.
• Drive cross-team alignment with backend, product, and design to keep the driver experience coherent.
