Job summary

Virta Ltd in Helsinki is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the technical direction of our native iOS and Android apps on Europe’s fastest-growing EV charging platform. This hands-on role works with senior peers to raise the bar in architecture and code quality.

You will shape mobile architecture, own complex features end-to-end (RFID, driver management), mentor engineers, and ensure a cohesive driver experience across markets and white-label apps, with hybrid onsite work.

Qualifications

• Proven track record building production mobile apps for iOS and Android.
• Expertise in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose and Swift with SwiftUI.
• Strong knowledge of Swift Concurrency and Kotlin Coroutines/Flow.
• Experience architecting scalable mobile codebases and modular architectures.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and set quality standards.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical direction for iOS/Android codebases with senior engineers.
• Deliver end-to-end features like RFID and driver management flows.
• Define testing strategies, code reviews, and release discipline.
• Mentor mobile engineers through design reviews and pairing.
• Coordinate with backend, product, and design to keep experiences coherent.
