DayOne Data Centers is building a flagship hyperscale campus in Lahti, Finland. We seek a Mechanical Engineer to maintain and optimize core mechanical systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency across HVAC, chillers, cooling towers and fire suppression within a data centre environment.

You will collaborate with engineers and operations to implement safety standards, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and support strategic initiatives for scalable, cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably within a data centre or critical infrastructure environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical infrastructure, including HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps and compressors.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of Finnish is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assist in design, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems within the data centres.
• Ensure all mechanical infrastructure, including HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, and fire suppression systems, operates reliably and efficiently.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of mechanical safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for mechanical maintenance and upgrade projects, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
• Implement preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and participate in safety audits.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting for mechanical systems and collaborate with other teams.
• Support development of strategic initiatives to enhance mechanical system performance.
