Job summary

Nextfour Group Oy – a Turku-based product development partner – is seeking a Mechanical Designer. You will develop new ideas in 3D CAD, design subsystems and assemblies, and ensure functionality of parts in the final device.

Collaboration with electronics, optics, and software teams is essential, with hands-on prototyping and testing across diverse environments. You will work in a growing, innovative company, applying SolidWorks and Fusion for modeling, and contributing to projects from ideation

Qualifications

• Proficient in 3D CAD design and modern design methods.
• Experience with PDM/PLM systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design subsystems and large assemblies and ensure functionality of parts in final devices.
• Collaborate with electronics, optics and software teams and engage with customers during product development.
• Create prototypes and iterate designs using 3D printing, CNC machining or hand tools as needed.
• Model and validate concepts in SolidWorks and Fusion; prepare documentation for production and testing.
• Test devices in various environments (including clean rooms and wet/dusty settings) and adapt designs accordingly.
