Job summary

Fortum Corporation in Espoo, Finland seeks a Senior Manager to lead the Site Portfolio and Investments function. You will own the portfolio strategy, allocate capital, lead land acquisitions, and manage investment cases from valuation to approval to maximise value.

The role demands 8+ years in investments across infrastructure or real estate, with strong DCF, ROIC and market knowledge. The position offers a hybrid work model and cross-functional collaboration with executives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, real estate, energy, or data center investments.
• Track record of valuing development-stage assets and advancing decisions through governance.
• Strong expertise in DCF modelling, asset appraisal, scenario & sensitivity analysis, and ROIC assessments.
• Understanding of data center economics, powered land, and power markets.
• Excellent English language skills; Finnish or Swedish language skills are considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Own portfolio strategy and allocate capital to maximize risk-adjusted value.
• Lead land acquisitions, site options, and transactions from valuation to approval.
• Own site investment cases and evaluate sale, lease, joint venture, and power-only routes.
• Prepare investment cases for acquisitions, site commitments, and development investments.
• Own portfolio valuation, reporting, and value creation KPIs.
• Manage a long-term portfolio with investment horizons of 3–5 years.
• Operate in an environment with uncertainty in land values, grid regulations, and debt treatment.
• Develop scalable valuation frameworks, business cases, and joint venture structures.
• Lead portfolio analysis and support joint venture governance.
• Collaborate with development, commercial, legal, and other stakeholders.
• Present recommendations to executive management, the Investment Committee, and the Board.
• Recommend discontinuing sites that do not meet return requirements.
