Job summary

Fortum in Espoo is seeking a Senior Technical Manager to bridge customer needs, grid requirements and energy storage solutions to accelerate growth in holistic energy services. You will shape industrial site development and BESS offerings while collaborating with internal teams and customers.

The role emphasizes grid expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and awareness of regulatory changes in the Nordic market, with hybrid work options and growth opportunities in a leading Nordic energy

Qualifications

Strong expertise in grid connection process and consumption-side power system requirements.
Experience in HV and MV network planning, construction PM, or consulting.
Proactive and passionate to work across engineering, business development, sales and customers.
Business acumen and interest in supporting new product and business model development.

Responsibilities

Develop industrial site, BESS, and flexibility service concepts with internal/external teams.
Support customer discussions and translate technical requirements into commercial offerings.
Ensure grid compliance of hybrid solutions by focusing on consumption-side with grid experts.
Lead TSO/DSO technical discussions and monitor regulatory developments.
Assess technical or regulatory risks of energy flexibility business models.
Follow tech trends impacting electrification, datacenters, and energy storage.
