Job summary

Grundium Oy in Tampere is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join the Device Software team. You will develop embedded and system software for our Ocus slide scanners, covering image acquisition to storage and transfer.

The role offers senior or lead level tracks, with hands-on development and opportunities to influence software architecture and best practices, collaborating with electronics, optics and cloud/UI teams.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional software development experience.
• Embedded or system software development experience.
• Strong Linux knowledge including kernel driver concepts and concurrency.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded and system software for next-generation slide scanners.
• Create technical specifications from product requirements.
• Develop and maintain software for image acquisition, scanning automation, storage and transfer.
• Investigate and resolve issues across software and hardware.
• Improve performance, reliability and testability of scanner software.
