Job summary

Johnson Controls in Finland is seeking a Senior HVAC Service Technician to lead service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of chillers and HVAC systems across customer sites. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, support commissioning, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Strong English communication and the ability to work independently at customer sites are essential; Finnish language skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience servicing HVAC and chiller systems.
• Good understanding of refrigeration systems, compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, controls, and associated HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites while maintaining a strong safety mindset.
• Good English communication and service reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers and HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
• Carry out repairs, component replacements, upgrades, and retrofit activities.
• Identify required spare parts and support parts selection and replacement planning.
• Record operating parameters and maintain accurate service documentation and reports.
• Support equipment start-up and commissioning activities when required.
• Coordinate technical issues with engineering, product, and service teams.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company safety standards and Finnish/EU regulations.
• Build strong customer relationships through high-quality service and technical support.
