Job summary

Johnson Controls in Helsinki, Finland, is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to support service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of chillers and HVAC systems across customer sites.

You will work on industrial, data center, and retrofit projects, diagnosing issues, performing maintenance, and ensuring reliable operation of critical HVAC equipment. Experience with commissioning is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience servicing HVAC and chiller systems.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical and control drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Fluent or proficient in Finnish language; English communication also needed.
• F‑Gas certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers and HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
• Carry out repairs, component replacements, upgrades, and retrofit activities.
• Identify spare parts and support parts selection and replacement planning.
• Record operating parameters and maintain service reports.
• Support start-up and commissioning activities when required.
• Coordinate issues with engineering, product and service teams.
• Ensure work complies with safety standards and Finnish/EU regulations.
• Build strong customer relationships through high-quality service.
