Job summary

Nordea is seeking a senior cloud engineer to own and evolve our Google Cloud Landing Zone. You will build and maintain infrastructure as code, implement reusable platform components, and drive automated CI/CD pipelines for platform changes.

You will work on enterprise-scale networking, hybrid connectivity, and security controls, enabling application teams to operate with confidence in a DevOps culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering with Google Cloud at enterprise scale.
• Experience designing and running a Google Cloud Landing Zone, ideally using Cloud Foundation Toolkit or Terraform.
• Strong command of Terraform for infrastructure as code and Ansible for automation.
• Good programming ability in Python and Bash; experience building CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Google Cloud networking: VPC, Shared VPC, Interconnect, and on‑prem connections.
• Knowledge of zero trust concepts and how they affect access design in cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Landing Zone infrastructure as code and automation.
• Create reusable platform components to simplify adoption by application teams.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for Landing Zone changes and automated testing.
• Participate in day-to-day engineering: PR reviews and architecture documentation.
• Identify gaps in automation and reduce manual work through scripting.
• Oversee network design across org, folders, and projects: VPCs, Shared VPCs, and firewall rules.
• Build and operate hybrid connectivity between Google Cloud and on-prem data centers using Interconnect and Cloud VPN.
• Apply zero trust principles to access and governance using Cloud IAM and related controls.
• Contribute to governance and best practices to keep the platform compliant with banking standards.
