Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to own and optimize our Google Cloud Platform setup in Helsinki. You will manage GKE clusters, CI/CD pipelines, and our observability stack while driving cost efficiency and reliability across services.

You will collaborate across teams to improve security, implement disaster recovery, and document architectures with clear playbooks and runbooks, ensuring scalable, auditable operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production infrastructure/DevOps experience.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent).
• Strong Kubernetes and container orchestration knowledge.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Automation scripting in Python and Bash.
• Hands-on experience with GCP or similar cloud platform.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Cloud security fundamentals: IAM, least-privilege, audit logging, network controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize Google Cloud infrastructure and services.
• Lead cost-optimization initiatives for infra.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Own observability stack and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Review security posture and respond to audits and customer reviews.
• Configure IAM, Secret Manager, VPC firewall rules, and network policies.
• Design and practice disaster recovery procedures.
• Document architectures and write playbooks; promote collaborative problem-solving.
