Job summary

Nordea is hiring a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to own the Azure Landing Zone. You will build and maintain landing zone infra as code, implement central reusable solutions, and drive CI/CD pipelines with strong security and governance.

This role blends hands‑on engineering with architecture documentation and incident response within a Nordic bank. The position supports hybrid work in Finland, requires 5+ years of Azure experience, and emphasizes security, compliance, and scalable platform

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering with Azure at enterprise scale.
• Experience designing and running an Azure Landing Zone, ideally following CAF/Enterprise‑Scale.
• Strong Terraform for infrastructure as code and Ansible for configuration/automation.
• Good programming ability in Python and Bash.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Azure networking (VNet/hub‑and‑spoke) and connecting to on‑prem with ExpressRoute.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Landing Zone infrastructure as code with Terraform; manage configuration with Ansible; automate provisioning with Python and Bash.
• Develop central, reusable Landing Zone solutions to reduce duplicated work across teams.
• Design and run CI/CD pipelines for Landing Zone changes; implement automated testing for platform components.
• Participate in day‑to‑day engineering activities: review PRs and contribute to architecture documentation to preserve rationale.
• Identify gaps in automation and close them to avoid manual work.
• Design networking foundation across subscriptions: VNets, subnets, NSGs, route tables, hub‑and‑spoke; enable hybrid connectivity with ExpressRoute/VPN Gateway.
• Apply zero trust principles: Entra ID, Azure RBAC, Azure Policy, network segmentation.
