Job summary

Cast AI is seeking a platform engineer to build and scale its AI-assisted Kubernetes platform. You design Go services, optimize MCP server interactions, and ensure secure, permissioned access for customers connecting their AI clients.

You will own end-to-end features across AWS/GCP/Azure integrations, with fast ship cycles (1–4 weeks) and a remote-first, globally distributed team. Strong Go, Kubernetes, and SaaS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Production Go experience strongly preferred; other languages acceptable with systems chops.
• Experience building or operating large-scale SaaS platforms in production.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes and related concepts.
• End-to-end ownership of complex projects from design to rollout.
• Hands-on with AI coding Agents and agentic development workflows.
• Production observability tooling experience.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices experience.
• Strong English skills, both written and spoken.
• Startup mindset: adaptable, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Design and build systems behind our AI assistant, including agent flows and context retrieval.
• Develop the public, permission-aware MCP server with identity, audit, and safety gates.
• Maintain cloud connectivity across AWS, GCP, and Azure for agents.
• Write production Go services interacting with cloud APIs, Kubernetes, and LLMs in real time.
• Own features end-to-end from design through testing to production rollout (1–4 weeks).
• Debug novel production issues: wrong answers, cross-cloud permissions, data freshness.
• Build the quality harness: evals, telemetry, feedback loops to prevent regressions.
• Contribute to product direction and backlog; participate in on-call rotation.
