Job summary

Casambi Technologies in Espoo, Finland, is seeking an experienced Firmware Developer to join our engineering team. You will design and maintain embedded firmware for wireless Casambi-enabled products built on Nordic platforms, focusing on BLE, mesh networking, and secure OTA updates.

The role blends hardware proximity with system-level thinking, covering device provisioning, cloud service interfaces, and collaboration across hardware, mobile, cloud, and QA teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional embedded firmware experience.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.
• Experience with Nordic SDKs and nRF Connect.
• Knowledge of BLE, mesh, and wireless protocols.
• Experience with RTOS concepts.
• Willingness to learn and use AI-assisted tools.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for wireless products.
• Work with Nordic SDKs and Zephyr-based solutions.
• Implement BLE, Mesh, and other wireless technologies.
• Develop interfaces between embedded devices, mobile apps, gateways, and cloud services.
• Participate in architecture, reviews, testing, and debugging.
• Diagnose cross-domain issues across hardware and software.
• Contribute to device provisioning, security, and OTA updates.
• Collaborate with hardware, mobile, cloud, QA, and product teams.
• Apply AI-powered tools to improve productivity and quality.
• Contribute through full product lifecycle.
