Job summary

Casambi Technologies Oy is seeking a seasoned Firmware Developer to craft embedded software for wireless lighting products. You’ll work with Nordic SoCs, BLE, and mesh systems, developing robust firmware and collaborating across hardware, mobile, cloud, and QA teams.

The role emphasizes architectural input, debugging, OTA updates, and security, with opportunities to apply AI-powered tools to boost productivity and software quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded software or firmware development experience.
• Experience with ARM Cortex‑M microcontrollers.
• Experience with Nordic SDKs and nRF Connect SDK.
• Solid understanding of BLE and wireless communications.
• Understanding of RTOS concepts and embedded software architecture.
• Experience with device interoperability and communication protocols.
• Ability to learn new technologies and use AI-assisted tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for wireless products based on Nordic SoCs.
• Develop software using Nordic SDKs and Zephyr-based solutions.
• Implement BLE, Mesh, and other wireless protocols.
• Build efficient communication between embedded devices, apps, gateways, and cloud services.
• Participate in architecture, code reviews, testing, and debugging.
• Troubleshoot across hardware, firmware, and system integrations.
• Support device provisioning, security, diagnostics, and OTA updates.
• Collaborate with hardware, mobile, cloud, backend, QA, and product teams.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and quality.
• Contribute through full product lifecycle from concept to deployment.
• Contribute to multiple products as priorities evolve.
