Job summary

Qualifications

• MSc (Tech), BSc (Tech) or equivalent degree in automation engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, telecommunications engineering, electronics or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience development in Embedded Systems.
• Strong C programming skills and Windows-based development environments.
• Understanding of embedded firmware systems & development programs utilizing bare metal C and RTOS.
• Basic understanding and knowledge of wireless interfaces (BLE, LTE-M, NB-IoT, LoRAWAN) and GNSS.
• Familiarity with lab equipment, Atlassian tools and git is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices and promote a safety-first culture.
• Advise Systems Engineer and Engineering Manager on design or software issues.
• Research, design, write, document, and test new firmware programs.
• Develop existing systems by analysis and modification.
• Maintain systems by identifying and fixing software defects.
• Create technical specifications and test plans.
• Follow structured development lifecycles for software development.
