The Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and technical compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, review, and coordination of electrical systems for a large-scale Data Centre project.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with project specifications, client requirements, local regulations, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with mechanical, civil, structural, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Review electrical drawings, technical submittals, specifications, and design changes for accuracy and compliance.
- Support the delivery of power distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, lighting, earthing, and other critical electrical infrastructure.
- Identify and resolve electrical design clashes, technical issues, and project risks.
- Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
- Support procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Drive value engineering initiatives to optimise efficiency, reliability, and project outcomes.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and technical records throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer within Data Centers, Mission Critical, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Energy, or large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical building services, power systems, and critical infrastructure environments.
- Experience reviewing and coordinating engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with industry-standard design and coordination software such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems including HV/LV networks, UPS systems, generators, and switchgear.
- Experience supporting commissioning and project handover activities.
- Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Must be willing to work onsite in Finland on a rotational basis.
