Qualifications

• 5–7 years’ experience in electrical contracting.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Navisworks and engineering-related database systems.
• Experience with project planning tools such as Primavera and a solid understanding of CAD and BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining clear and accurate reporting to track progress and milestones.
• Reviewing design and IFC drawings to understand project scope.
• Leading coordination to produce installation drawings with BIM teams.
• On-site quality control to meet technical, regulatory, and project standards.
• Reviewing subcontractor and supplier tenders to confirm they meet requirements.
• Ensuring procurement stays on track with the project programme.
• Preparing, submitting, and managing technical submittals.
• Ensuring installations comply with project specifications and QA plan.
• Coordinating subcontractors, recording meeting minutes, and maintaining progress.
• Promoting best practices to improve scheduling and delivery efficiency.
• Collaborating with the Project Quantity Surveyor to prepare tender documentation.

They’re currently looking for a motivated and hands-on Electrical Engineer to join their growing team on a high-spec Data Centre project in Helsinki, Finland.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Maintaining clear and accurate reporting to track progress and meet key project milestones.
• Reviewing design and IFC specifications and drawings to fully understand the project scope.
• Leading coordination to produce accurate installation drawings, working closely with BIM teams to ensure compliance and programme alignment.
• Supporting on-site quality control to make sure all work meets technical, regulatory, and project standards.
• Reviewing subcontractor and supplier tenders to confirm they meet technical and design requirements.
• Ensuring all engineering activities, including procurement, stay on track with the project programme.
• Preparing, submitting, and managing all technical submittals according to project requirements.
• Making sure installations comply with project specifications and the QA plan.
• Coordinating subcontractor activities, maintaining progress and clear communication, and recording minutes from weekly meetings.
• Promoting best practices to improve project scheduling and delivery efficiency.
• Collaborating with the Project Quantity Surveyor to prepare tender documentation for subcontractors and suppliers.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5–7 years’ experience in the electrical contracting industry, ideally with a recognised contractor.
• Strong organisational skills and proven experience in project planning and coordination.
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Navisworks and engineering-related database systems.
• Experience with project planning tools such as Primavera and a solid understanding of CAD and BIM workflows.
