Job summary

CoreHW Oy is seeking an experienced Digital IC Design Engineer to strengthen our Digital Design team. You will work on advanced digital and mixed-signal ASICs for international customers, spanning architecture to tape-out and silicon validation.

Depending on experience, you may join as Senior or Principal. Frontend- and backend-oriented designers are welcome. We offer a hybrid work environment with offices in Tampere, Helsinki, Turku and Oulu, plus a remote Estonia team.

Qualifications

• B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D. in electrical engineering or related field.
• Strong professional experience in digital ASIC/SoC development.
• RTL design experience with SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement digital functionality for complex ASICs and mixed-signal ICs.
• Develop high-quality RTL using SystemVerilog or Verilog.
• Work with synthesis, timing constraints, STA, and design sign-off.
• Perform linting, CDC/RDC analysis, formal verification, DFT, and physical implementation.
• Collaborate with system, analog, RF, layout, and verification engineers.
• Participate in technical planning, estimation, reviews, and customer discussions.
• Contribute to CoreHW’s design methods and internal tools.

We are now looking for an experienced Digital IC Design Engineer to strengthen our Digital Design team.

You will work on advanced digital and mixed-signal ASICs for international customers, as well as on CoreHW’s own technology and IP development. Our projects cover the complete IC development flow, from architecture and specification to RTL design, verification, physical implementation, tape‑out, and silicon validation.

Depending on your experience and demonstrated scope of responsibility, you may join us at either Senior or Principal level. Both frontend- and backend‑oriented designers are welcome.

Your role

In this position, you will:

• Design and implement digital functionality for complex ASICs and mixed‑signal ICs
• Develop high‑quality RTL using SystemVerilog or Verilog
• Work with synthesis, timing constraints, static timing analysis, and design sign‑off
• Perform or support linting, CDC/RDC analysis, formal verification, DFT, and physical implementation
• Collaborate closely with system, analog, RF, layout, and verification engineers
• Participate in technical planning, estimation, design reviews, and customer discussions
• Contribute to the development of CoreHW’s design methods, reusable solutions, and internal tools

At Principal level, the role also includes technical leadership across projects, architectural decision‑making, mentoring other designers, and developing common design practices.

What we are looking for

You have:

• A B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field
• Strong professional experience in digital ASIC or SoC development
• RTL design experience with SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL
• Experience with relevant Cadence, Synopsys, or equivalent EDA tools
• Good understanding of the overall ASIC development flow
• Experience in verification, debugging, and solving complex design issuesScripting skills in Python, Tcl, Perl, or similar
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of technical deliverables
• Good communication skills in English

Experience in UVM, DSP implementation, low‑power design, mixed‑signal ASICs, FPGA development, physical implementation, or DFT is an advantage.

Compensation and application

For employment in Finland and Estonia, the monthly salary will be agreed based on the scope of the role, your competence, and your experience, in line with CoreHW’s career and pay framework.
