Job summary

General Motors seeks a Senior DevOps Software Quality Automation Tools Engineer to design and build internal platforms supporting CI/CD, automated testing, and quality gates. You will work across backend services, databases and frontend visuals, ensuring robust test automation and performance monitoring.

You will collaborate with developers, QA testers and DevOps specialists to drive consistent tooling, cloud-based development, and lifecycle improvements while embracing hybrid work and global

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Software Development, Quality Assurance, tools development, web application development.
• Specialized in Python or C++.
• Familiarity with data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge of databases and test frameworks like Robot, Unittest, Selenium, PyTest, CppUTest.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of internal full-stack tools and automation frameworks.
• Build and maintain applications supporting QA, developers and users, with CI/CD integration.
• Embed automation, performance monitoring, and IT compliance checks into delivery lifecycle.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA and System Engineers to improve workflows and visibility.
