Job summary

Bluetech Finland, part of the Arctic Marine Technology Group, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our ship design team in Helsinki/Turku, Finland. You will lead electrical engineering assignments for commercial vessel projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams and shaping design methods.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, have 4+ years in maritime electrical design, and are proficient with AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in basic or detail electrical design within the maritime industry.
• Strong proficiency with engineering tools such as AutoCAD or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Cadmatic or AVEVA is considered an advantage.
• Collaborative and solution‑oriented approach to work; initiative to develop design methods.

In this role, you will work on electrical engineering projects related to commercial shipbuilding. You willbe responsible forchallenging and innovative vessel design assignments in close cooperation with project teams and experts from other engineering disciplines. Depending on your experience andexpertise, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of specific areas of electrical design and contribute to the development of design methods and best practices.

Areas of Expertise

We are currently looking for designers with experience or interest in one or more of the following technology areas:

• Electrical power distribution systems
• Navigation and safety systems
• Communication systems
• Propulsion and power generation systems

What We Expect from You

We are looking for both experienced professionals and designers ready to take the next step in their careers. To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• At least 4 years of experience in basic or detail electrical design within the maritime industry
• Strong proficiency in engineering tools such as AutoCAD or equivalent software
• Knowledge of Cadmatic or AVEVA is considered an advantage
• A collaborative and solution-oriented approach to work
• Initiative and a willingness to develop design methods and practices within your area of expertise
• Fluent professional English skills

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a security clearance conducted by the Finnish Security and Intelligence Service (SUPO).

Employment

The position is permanent and will commence as agreed, preferably before Christmas.

• Salary depending on experience 4000 – 5000 €/month
