Job summary

Bluetech Finland is seeking an experienced electrical designer for ongoing shipbuilding projects in Finland. You will contribute to electrical systems design for commercial vessels, collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, and take ownership of design areas as your experience allows.

The role emphasizes developing design methods and best practices, with a focus on innovation and reliable delivery in a challenging maritime environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in basic or detail electrical design within the maritime industry.
  • Strong proficiency in engineering tools such as AutoCAD or equivalent software.
  • Knowledge of Cadmatic or AVEVA is considered an advantage.
  • Collaborative and solution-oriented approach to work.
  • Initiative to develop design methods and practices within your area of expertise.
  • Fluent professional English skills.

Job description

In this role, you will work on electrical engineering projects related to commercial shipbuilding. You will be responsible for challenging and innovative vessel design assignments in close cooperation with project teams and experts from other engineering disciplines. Depending on your experience and expertise, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of specific areas of electrical design and contribute to the development of design methods and best practices.

Areas of Expertise

We are currently looking for designers with experience or interest in one or more of the following technology areas:

  • Electrical power distribution systems
  • Navigation and safety systems
  • Communication systems
  • Propulsion and power generation systems
What We Expect from You

We are looking for both experienced professionals and designers ready to take the next step in their careers. To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in basic or detail electrical design within the maritime industry
  • Strong proficiency in engineering tools such as AutoCAD or equivalent software
  • Knowledge of Cadmatic or AVEVA is considered an advantage
  • A collaborative and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Initiative and a willingness to develop design methods and practices within your area of expertise
  • Fluent professional English skills

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a security clearance conducted by the Finnish Security and Intelligence Service (SUPO).

Employment

The position is permanent and will commence as agreed, preferably before Christmas.

  • Salary depending on experience 4000 - 5000 €/month
