Tieto Caretech is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and develop data-driven services for our Lakehouse Analytics platform. You will join a diverse team of developers and customer experts to solve complex healthcare data problems.

Applicants should bring several years of software development experience with Python/SQL, plus hands-on work with Databricks, Azure Synapse, or Apache Spark. A cloud background (Azure) and fluency in English and Finnish are essential.

About The Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will have a key role in developing and designing data driven services and solutions for our Lakehouse Analytics - platform. You will be working in diverse teams consisting of top-level developers and customer's experts.

We are looking for someone with

• Several years of professional experience in software development, with strong programming skills in Python, SQL or other relevant languages
• Hands-on experience developing data-driven solutions and working with big data technologies such as Databricks, Azure Synapse or Apache Spark
• Experience with cloud-based solutions, preferably within Azure
• Passion for continuous learning, innovation and developing high-quality products that solve complex customer problems
• Confidence and willingness to take responsibility, combined with honesty, openness and a collaborative team mindset
• Excellent communication skills in English and Finnish

It would be beneficial if you also have experience in

• Social care and healthcare data
• Data warehouse, data lakes or lakehouse
• Dimensional data modeling, star schemas and data marts
• Development of Power BI

AI knowledge requirement

AI literacy is expected - able to use approved AI tools effectively and responsibly, write clear prompts, and validate outputs. You undertand how to follow company policies and applicable requirements for confidentiality, privacy, security, and responsible AI use (including not entering sensitive data into unapproved tools).
