Job summary

Tieto Caretech in Finland is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver data-driven services on our Lakehouse Analytics platform. You will work with a global team of developers and customer experts to build scalable solutions for healthcare data.

Strong Python/SQL skills, experience with Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Spark, plus Finnish and English communication, are highly valued. We offer a hybrid work model and opportunities for growth in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in software development with strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience developing data-driven solutions and working with big data technologies (Databricks, Azure Synapse or Apache Spark).
• Experience with cloud-based solutions, preferably within Azure.
• Excellent English and Finnish communication skills.

Responsibilities

About The Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will have a key role in developing and designing data driven services and solutions for our Lakehouse Analytics platform. You will be working in diverse teams consisting of top-level developers and customer’s experts.

We are looking for someone with

• Several years of professional experience in software development, with strong programming skills in Python, SQL or other relevant languages
• Hands-on experience developing data-driven solutions and working with big data technologies such as Databricks, Azure Synapse or Apache Spark
• Experience with cloud-based solutions, preferably within Azure
• Passion for continuous learning, innovation and developing high-quality products that solve complex customer problems
• Confidence and willingness to take responsibility, combined with honesty, openness and a collaborative team mindset
• Excellent communication skills in English and Finnish

It would be beneficial if you also have experience in

• Social care and healthcare data
• Data warehouse, data lakes or lakehouse
• Dimensional data modeling, star schemas and data marts
• Development of Power BI
