Job summary

Tieto Caretech in Espoo seeks a Senior Data Engineer to shape data driven services on our Lakehouse Analytics platform. You will work with top-level developers and customer experts to design scalable data solutions.

You will apply Python, SQL, Databricks, and Azure Synapse to real-world healthcare data, embrace AI literacy, and participate in a flexible hybrid work model with a strong emphasis on learning.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional software development experience with Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience building data-driven solutions and working with big data technologies such as Databricks, Azure Synapse or Apache Spark.
• Experience with cloud-based solutions, preferably Azure.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Finnish.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design data-driven services and solutions for the Lakehouse Analytics platform.
• Work in diverse teams with top-level developers and customer experts.

About The Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will have a key role in developing and designing data driven services and solutions for our Lakehouse Analytics - platform. You will be working in diverse teams consisting of top-level developers and customer's experts.

We are looking for someone with

• Several years of professional experience in software development, with strong programming skills in Python, SQL or other relevant languages
• Hands-on experience developing data-driven solutions and working with big data technologies such as Databricks, Azure Synapse or Apache Spark
• Experience with cloud-based solutions, preferably within Azure
• Passion for continuous learning, innovation and developing high-quality products that solve complex customer problems
• Confidence and willingness to take responsibility, combined with honesty, openness and a collaborative team mindset
• Excellent communication skills in English and Finnish

It would be beneficial if you also have experience in

• Social care and healthcare data
• Data warehouse, data lakes or lakehouse
• Dimensional data modeling, star schemas and data marts
• Development of Power BI

AI knowledge requirement

AI literacy is expected - able to use approved AI tools effectively and responsibly, write clear prompts, and validate outputs. You undertand how to follow company policies and applicable requirements for confidentiality, privacy, security, and responsible AI use (including not entering sensitive data into unapproved tools).
