Job summary

Verda is seeking a Senior Storage Engineer in Helsinki to lead the Ceph storage design and operation for our European cloud platform. You will own the storage direction, mentor engineers, and ensure reliable petabyte-scale data services for GPU workloads.

You will drive automation, optimize performance, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable storage solutions in a renewable-energy powered infra.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Ceph in production and multi-petabyte scale.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking fundamentals.
• Proven track record in technical leadership and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and operation of Ceph clusters at petabyte scale.
• Set the technical direction for the storage area and mentor engineers.
