Verda in Helsinki is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to own the power distribution for our AI data centers. You will design the full power architecture, define redundancy topologies, grounding and bonding, and work directly with utility providers to prove safety and reliability.
This senior role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and 7–10+ years designing mission-critical/data-center electrical systems, with experience in N+1 and 2N topologies and utilities coordination.

As Lead Electrical Engineer you own the power that keeps our sites alive. You will design the full power distribution architecture, define the redundancy topology, design grounding and bonding, run the studies that prove the system is safe, and work directly with utility providers. In an AI data center, power is the constraint, and this is the discipline that solves it.
Design power distribution architecture, including utility service entrance, switchgear, generators, UPS, PDUs, and transformers
Define the redundancy topology (N+1, 2N)
Design grounding and bonding systems
Perform load, short-circuit, and arc-flash studies
Coordinate directly with utility providers on service and interconnection
The ideal candidate has designed mission-critical electrical systems at data center scale and can own the discipline end to end.
BS in Electrical Engineering
7 to 10+ years designing mission-critical / data center electrical systems
Strong command of redundancy topologies and protection studies
Experience coordinating with utilities on service and interconnection
Large-scale or hyperscale data center electrical experience
Familiarity with building in the Nordics, including local legislation and authorities
