Job summary

Verda is seeking a dedicated Database Administrator to lead the lifecycle of data storages, focusing on Postgres and ClickHouse, in our Helsinki office. This hybrid role requires working on-site 3 days per week.

Your responsibilities will include managing replication and high-availability setups, as well as maintaining monitoring systems for database workloads. The ideal candidate has robust experience in production environments and will join a growing, diverse team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years administering production relational databases, with deep hands-on Postgres expertise.
• Strong experience with Postgres replication, high availability, failover, backup, and point-in-time recovery.
• Proven experience operating ClickHouse in production.

Responsibilities

• Own the lifecycle of stateful data storages, design, deploy, operate, and upgrade clusters.
• Run replication and high-availability for Postgres and ClickHouse.
• Maintain monitoring and alerting for database workloads.
