Job summary

Lockheed Martin GBDI Europe seeks a senior business development manager to lead regional engagement across the Nordics (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland). The post-holder will coordinate relationships, strategy, and cross-functional alignment to position LM as the single face in the region.

The role requires strong English communication, Nordic market knowledge, and ability to travel frequently within Europe. Ex-military considered, with a strong defence/DS background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Defence/DS sector and Nordic region.
• Willingness to travel across the Nordic region and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Represent Lockheed Martin to senior stakeholders in the Nordic region.

Job description

Lockheed Martin GBDI Europe is looking for a senior business development manager to cover the Nordic region (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland , Iceland).

The post-holder will help develop and manage Lockheed Martin corporate engagement, business development, strategy and coordination of relationships in the region, representing the full breadth of Lockheed Martin to senior leaders, customers, partners and other key stakeholders. He/she will strengthen the Lockheed Martin brand and increase understanding and support for Lockheed Martin goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Represent Lockheed Martin with high level, industrial, political and military key stakeholders in the region and develop and maintain positive relationships with them
• Enable Lockheed Martin to prioritize and speak as ONE LM
• Position to be recognized as the LM face in the region
• Support Lockheed Martin Business Areas’ programs and pursuits
• Provide political, military and economic situational reporting to Lockheed Martin leadership
• Organize and support senior level LM visits, incl. Executive Leadership Team
• Support LM corporate and Business Areas with senior military and political delegations visiting LM in the US
• Identify and shape new business opportunities that can fuel long-term growth;
• Plan and coordinate events and activities to support the Corporation’s business development and brand positioning
• Manage as “agreement monitor” corporate consultants in the Region
• Ensure compliance with local legal requirements
• Serve as a senior executive interface with key government and industry stakeholders, including at political/policy events with Think Tanks and Advisory Groups
• Collaborate with functional leads to ensure cross-functional alignment in support of business goals

Required Skills:

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills; one or more Nordics languages would be an advantage
• A team player who can work well with international multi-cultural teams, committed to personal excellence, ethical behaviour and integrity
• Demonstrated breadth and successful experience in the Defence and Security sector as well as expertise in the Nordics business and culture with proven ability to identify and build strong relationships that can support Lockheed Martin’s objectives
• Knowledge and experience of successfully working and thriving in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong ability to build successful business relationships with all levels of stakeholders in both public and private sectors
• Ability to manage multiple lines of work concurrently
• A high degree of flexibility and the availability to travel frequently in the region and occasionally elsewhere within Europe and to the US
• Strong organisational skills and the flexibility to respond quickly to multiple requests from across the whole corporation.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve goals through influencing, partnering, and developing productive relationships with senior leadership
• Proven ability to be both strategic and tactical; results-oriented, and provide flawless execution
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience; or professional experience with a related Masters degree. Ex- military personnel are suitable to apply for this post.
• Seasoned professional with demonstrated experience and success in the Aerospace and Defence environment within the Nordics

• Strong ability to recognise and understand client structures and processes in order to successfully manage/ influence/ communicate.
