Job summary

eMabler, a leader in EV charging software, is building a senior platform engineer role at our Helsinki HQ with a hybrid setup. You will codify infrastructure in IaC, own reliability and security, and drive cost efficiency across Azure services.

The ideal candidate blends Azure depth with security mindset and hands-on coding in .NET/C#. You will collaborate with backend, data, security, and customer-support teams to scale our platform and ship features that operate reliably at scale.

Qualifications

• Five to eight years in cloud platform, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles, including at least three years on Azure in production.
• Experience standing up infrastructure-as-code from scratch without overshooting (no day-one service mesh for small teams).
• Strong with Azure: App Service, Container Apps, Service Bus or Event Hubs, Key Vault, networking, identity.
• Working knowledge of .NET and C# and willingness to ship in it; other production languages welcome.
• Practical security knowledge: identity, secrets, network segmentation, supply chain, secure SDLC, and audits.
• You use AI as a default; experience with Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot or similar helps.

Responsibilities

• Build infrastructure-as-code from zero. Pick tooling (Bicep, OpenTofu, or Pulumi) and codify current components behind a deployment pipeline.
• Run production reliability: SLOs, observability, alerting, on-call rotation, incident response, and post-incident learning.
• Be the technical owner of security and compliance, deciding real requirements vs theater across identity, secrets, segmentation, and audits.
• Ship product code when needed: ~70% platform, ~30% product, with .NET and C# as core tech.
• Own cost engineering: monitor Azure spend and optimize without breaking workloads.
