Easpring Finland New Materials Oy in Kotka, Finland, seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to join the Equipment Department during installation and commissioning of a CAM battery materials plant. You will master the plant’s control systems on the shop floor and become the technical pillar as operations begin.

You will perform PLC/DCS programming, diagnostics, and tuning of Siemens PCS7 and S7-1200/1500, with strong field experience, OT networks, and collaboration with the EPC team to ensure a

• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation programming, commissioning and field troubleshooting.
• A relevant degree is preferred but hands-on capability and field experience are valued equally.
• Core expertise with Siemens PCS7 and TIA Portal is mandatory.
• Strong diagnostic skills to resolve complex control loops and network issues.
• Solid OT network understanding: Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA; safe data integration.
• Fluency in English; Finnish or Chinese is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• PLC/DCS programming and troubleshooting for Siemens PCS7 and S7-1200/1500 systems to minimize downtime.
• Field loop testing, PID tuning, and configuration of VFDs and instrumentation.
• Establish data links and configure industrial communications between main processes and third-party units.
• Define technical requirements for outsourced modifications and lead FAT/SAT tests.
• Support commissioning and handover to operations with thorough knowledge transfer.
