Job summary

Academic Work Finland Oy is seeking a skilled automation engineer to take ownership of automation software projects from design to commissioning. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop, program, configure HMI/SCADA, and document electrical schematics for industrial applications.

The role involves testing, troubleshooting and occasional international commissioning work, in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

Educational background in a relevant engineering field.
Strong experience with Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal.
Experience in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA and industrial communication networks.
Knowledge of EPLAN for electrical and control-system documentation.
Ability to read, understand and create electrical schematics and control cabinet documentation.
Experience with testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and system integration.
Knowledge of electrical automation and control systems.
Working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

Developing and programming automation software of industrial process applications.
Designing and configuring HMI/SCADA systems for industrial applications.
Creating and updating electrical schematics and control system documentation. Perform testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of automation systems.
Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to meet the project deadlines.
Participating in occasional international commissioning work.
