Job summary

Oura is seeking a senior Android engineer to own AI-powered, member-facing features from early prototyping to production, including client-side integration with backend AI services.

You will develop with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, craft scalable architectures, refactor for performance, and build reusable UI components while collaborating closely with product, design, backend data science, and research teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping Android apps and Kotlin.
• Deep knowledge of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and modern Android architectures.
• Experience building complex, reusable UI components.
• Strong collaboration with designers, PMs and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own AI-powered, member-facing feature end-to-end, from prototyping through production and integration with backend AI services.
• Develop features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose with scalable, maintainable architectures.
• Refactor existing features to improve code quality, performance and maintainability.
• Build and evolve shared design-system components and platform foundations.
• Contribute to build tooling, CI performance and engineering practices.
