Job summary

Oura is seeking a senior Android engineer to advance HealthOS AI-powered features for the Oura Ring ecosystem. You will own end-to-end development of member-facing experiences, collaborating with product, design, backend, data science and research teams across Helsinki or remote Finland-based work.

You will build with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, refine architectures (MVVM/MVI), and contribute to reusable components and platform foundations while upholding high-quality testing and performance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Deep experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android architectures (MVVM/MVI).
• Proven experience building complex user-facing features and reusable UI components.
• Experience collaborating on complex shared codebases.
• Proficiency with Git, branching strategies, PRs and code reviews.
• Focus on quality with unit/instrumentation/snapshot testing; CI for mobile.
• Ability to design and implement performant, maintainable code.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• End-to-end ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end AI-powered member-facing features, from prototyping to production.
• Develop features with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose ensuring scalability and design alignment.
• Refactor existing features to improve quality and performance.
• Ensure high-quality through reviews, testing and best practices.
• Build and evolve shared design-system components and platform foundations.
• Contribute to tooling, CI performance and engineering practices.
