Job summary

ŌURA in Helsinki is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to focus on core Android components responsible for the data flow between the mobile app and the cloud. This role involves writing Kotlin code, improving app-cloud data syncing, and enhancing app-side data storage performance.

The successful candidate will work in a hybrid environment, contribute to platform-domain tasks, and actively participate in design and implementation processes. Required qualifications include mobile development experience and strong communication skills.

• Experience with mobile development; proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android app architecture.
• Strong ownership ability: design solutions, drive implementation, deliver results with limited guidance.
• High-quality code production quickly, with or without AI assistance.
• Team player with excellent spoken and written communication.
• Motivated to learn and further develop skills.

Responsibilities

• Write Kotlin code for Android applications.
• Improve app-cloud data sync, focusing on reliability, latency, performance, and observability.
• Enhance app-side data storage: performance, data access API design, data migration systems.
• Implement automation and code-generation layers.
• Support a variety of platform-domain work, including data management.
• Participate in design and implementation work, proactively identifying improvements.
