Job summary

Quest Global seeks a SCADA/HMI System Design Engineer for STATCOM projects in Tampere, Finland. You will design SCADA architectures, develop HMIs for real-time monitoring and control, and select data exchange protocols (MODBUS, DNP3, IEC 61850) with IEC 103 experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology required.
Experience in system design from energy, industrial or utility projects.
Familiar with design engineering tools (Zenon, Aveva Plant SCADA, Eaton SMP gateway).
Fluent written and oral English; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Create and refine architecture for SCADA systems for STATCOM projects and design HMIs for real-time monitoring and control.
Install and commission SCADA/HMI systems and ensure integration with existing infrastructure.
Perform FAT and interoperability testing including report creation and execution.
Diagnose and resolve SCADA, HMI, and communication system issues promptly.
Manage system updates, patches, and upgrades; identify improvements for reliability and efficiency.
