Job summary

GE Vernova's Grid Solutions seeks a skilled SCADA/HMI engineer to lead design and implementation for STATCOM projects. You will develop architectures, select communication protocols, and oversee installation, testing, and integration with existing control systems.

Fluent English and strong collaboration are essential to work in an international environment. Willingness to travel to customer sites is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology.
Extensive SCADA engineering experience in energy/utility projects.
Familiar with Aveva Plant SCADA, Eaton SMP gateway and Zenon.
Experience with network traffic debugging tools such as Wireshark.
Experience with testing/simulator tools such as IEDScout and TMW Test Harness.
Substation secondary design knowledge is a plus.
English fluency; additional languages are a plus.
Able to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership: lead design reviews, ensure quality deliverables and drive improvements.
System Design & Architecture: tailor SCADA/HMI architectures for STATCOM projects and select comms protocols.
Implementation & Integration: oversee installation, testing, and integration with legacy systems.
Lifecycle Management: manage updates, patches, and security enhancements.
Compliance & Cyber security: ensure standards compliance (NERC CIP, IEC 62351, IEC 62443).
