Job summary

Aalto University Financial Services is seeking a Project Controller to manage the financial lifecycle of externally funded research projects and to administer the overall funding of research groups. The role is based at the Otaniemi Campus in Espoo and operates in a hybrid model.

You will budget, monitor, forecast and report for a portfolio of projects, handle invoicing, and create management reports. Fluency in Finnish and English, plus ERP system experience (Oracle, SAP) and Excel/BI basics,

Qualifications

Knowledge of financial management and accounting principles.
Higher education degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
Proactive and organized approach to work.
Strong communication with non-financial stakeholders.
Ability to manage detail while seeing the bigger picture.
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) and Excel/BI basics.
Fluent in Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

Budgeting, monitoring, forecasting and reporting for a portfolio of externally funded research projects.
Handling invoicing for funded projects.
Build clear financial insights for project leaders and create management reports.
Communicate with domestic and international partners on project financial matters.
