Job summary

Academic Work Finland Oy is seeking an engineer to design and develop industrial food processing equipment and systems. The role blends hands-on design work with project management, subcontractor coordination, and procurement leadership, supporting customers globally.

You will use Creo (or SolidWorks) for drafting, travel internationally, and visit the Joensuu production center roughly once a month. Strong English is required; Finnish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's).
• Strong design software proficiency (SolidWorks or Creo).
• Excellent English communication; Finnish proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of industrial food processing equipment and systems.
• Manage production schedules and coordinate with external subcontractors.
• Review and approve technical requirements for components.
• Oversee procurement activities and component purchasing.
• Identify customer needs, solve technical problems, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform design/drafting work using Creo; support domestic and international projects.
