Job summary

Coctio Oy is seeking a Design Engineer to impact the development of hygienic and industrial food processing equipment. You will split time between design, procurement, and project management while visiting the Joensuu production center monthly and traveling globally.

The role supports remote work with occasional travel, requiring collaboration with subcontractors and suppliers to deliver high-quality process solutions.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master’s) required.
• Experience in mechanical or process design, preferably food machinery or industrial equipment.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or Creo.
• Fluent in English and good Finnish.
• Willingness to travel internationally a few times per year.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop industrial food processing equipment and systems.
• Manage production schedules and collaborate with external subcontractors.
• Review and approve technical requirements for components.
• Procurement and component purchasing activities.
• Identify customer needs, solve technical problems, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Design and drafting work using Creo software.
• Conduct domestic and international customer visits as part of project implementation.
