Job summary

Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Saariselkä, Lapland, Finland, seeks skilled receptionists for the winter season 2026-2027. You will welcome guests, manage check-ins/outs, handle bookings and respond to inquiries, with a focus on outstanding service in a premium Arctic setting.

Job description

Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort is one of Finland’s best-known and most talked about travel destinations. This family business, founded in 1974, is in Saariselkä, Lapland. Kakslauttanen hosts around 30,000 visitors each year, many of them from abroad. We are looking for skilled, experienced, and service-oriented receptionists for the winter season 2026-2027. A Hotel Receptionist is the first friendly face Guest meet, and he/she will make Guests feel welcome, manage room bookings, and assist with Guest request during their stay.

Contract is seasonal, starting mid October- mid November until end of March 2027. We provide full hours, 112,5h/3week period.

The role will involve:

• Checking Guests in and out
• Assisting and guiding Guests
• Booking activities, arranging transport, and so on
• Answering emails and phone calls
• Supporting colleagues with other tasks around the resort as required

Desired qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Fluent in written and spoken English. Other languages are considered an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality / Tourism
• Previous international work experience
• Good knowledge in PMS or similar
• A proactive attitude and excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently with professional attitude.
• A driving license is a plus

We have two receptions serving our customers during the winter season, in East Village and in West Village.

The location of the resort is in the middle of lovely nature, and here you also have time to enjoy nature and try different activities that you might never get to try otherwise. We have also a small gym for our staff, and possibilities to try cross country skiing and other winter activities.

It is possible to rent an shared apartment through us, so it is easy to join us where ever you are coming from. Apartments are for two people. In terms of employment, we follow the collective agreement of the tourism and restaurant industry, and the salary is according to the agreement, considering the applicant’s previous experience and education.
