Job summary

Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Saariselkä, Lapland, is seeking skilled restaurant servers for the winter season 2026-2027. The role involves serving guests at two on-site restaurants, handling cash registers, and providing excellent service in a busy resort environment.

Contract runs mid October to end March 2027 with full-time hours; accommodation options are available. We assist with Hygiene Passport acquisition, and wages follow the tourism and restaurant industry collective agreement.

Qualifications

• Education, training and previous hospitality experience are desirable.
• Alcohol serving and Food Hygiene passport is a plus (we can assist).
• Ability to work with modern technology and a cash register.
• Skills for a la carte serving and handling food & beverages.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and maintain a positive attitude.
• Experience in large restaurants or resort settings is advantageous.

Job description

Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort is one of Finland’s best-known and most talked about travel destinations. This family business, founded in 1974, is in Saariselkä, Lapland. Kakslauttanen hosts around 30,000 visitors each year, many of them from abroad. We are looking for skilled and experienced restaurant servers to join us for our winter season 2026-2027.

Contract is seasonal, starting mid October- mid November until end of March 2027. We provide full hours, 112,5h/3week period.

The person we are looking for:

• Has possibly relevant Education, Training, and previous Experience
• Alcohol serving and Food & Hygiene passport is a plus (we can also help with that)
• Capability to work with modern technology and cash register
• a la carte serving skills
• Efficient in handling food and beverage items including special diet information
• Flexible in working different shifts
• Good customer service skills
• Positive attitude and you are also nice to work with to maintain a good atmosphere at work
• Advantage: Previous experience working in a large restaurant or resort/cruise ship/hotel restaurant

In Finland, you are required to have a valid Finnish Hygiene Passport. The Hygiene Passport is valid for life, and we will help you obtain it. The cost of the Hygiene Passport is the responsibility of each employee.

We have two restaurants serving our customers during the winter season, in East Village and in West Village. Both restaurants can fit several hundreds of customers.

The location of the resort is in the middle of lovely nature, and here you also have time to enjoy nature and try different activities that you might never get to try otherwise. We have also a small gym for our staff, and possibilities to try cross country skiing and other winter activities.

It is possible to rent an shared apartment through us, so it is easy to join us where ever you are coming from. Apartments are for two people. In terms of employment, we follow the collective agreement of the tourism and restaurant industry, and the salary is according to the agreement, considering the applicant’s previous experience and education.
