Job summary

Hiab is seeking an R&D Engineer, Control Systems in Raisio, Finland, with a focus on embedded software for demountable products. You will design, develop, and deliver PLC software and control solutions, collaborating with other departments and supporting stakeholders across the project lifecycle.

Ideal candidates hold a technical degree and have strong C/C++, Codesys, Qt skills, plus experience with display systems, camera tech, and Matlab/Simulink. English and Finnish fluency is required.

Qualifications

• A university degree (Master's or Bachelor's) in a relevant technical field.
• Experience from programming (C, C++, Codesys, Qt).
• Practical knowledge of Atlassian tools and version management systems.
• Demonstrated experience from display systems and knowledge from camera systems.
• Experience from modelling and simulation (Matlab, Simulink) is seen as benefit.
• Fluency in English and Finnish.

Your mission

We are looking for an R&D Engineer, Control Systems to join our Demountables division's Control Systems team. You will have an important role in designing and developing the embedded software solutions of demountable products. You will participate in and execute engineering design, development, project delivery and completion. You will work in close cooperation with other departments and provide them with technical support. You will report directly to the R&D Manager.

The primary locations for this position is Raisio, Finland, but we are also open to applications from Tampere and Helsinki.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and development activities in PLC software development in cooperation with other specialists

What We Are Looking For

• Experience from programming (C, C++, Codesys, Qt)

• Knowledge of requirement management and safety of machinery processes is seen as benefit
