Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Your mission

As Installation Manager you are responsible for the operational and strategic results of the vehicle-specific installation activities and the management of the installation operations in our Raisio workshop. You are accountable for developing the installation process and ensuring optimal capacity planning and monitoring the installation process. You are also responsible for leading the installation team and overseeing key supporting functions and processes, such as engineering and procurement. You will initiate and drive process improvements utilizing the Six Sigma framework and emphasizing Hiab’s safety culture.

This position is open for our location in Raisio Finland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing Planning: Bearing final responsibility for the work and production planning
  • Aligning Capacity: Actively steering toward a seamless alignment of capacity, delivery times, and lead times, in close cooperation with the sales, assembly, and external dealer departments
  • Reporting: Preparing, analyzing, and presenting management and planning reports (including forecasts) for sharp monitoring of project progress and budgets
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinating alignment with external inspection authorities and streamlining the logistics processes surrounding vehicle transport
  • 6S & Safety Culture: Developing and adhering to a 6S safety culture. You perform tasks safely and actively participate in Safety Walks, Safety Audits, and 6S events
  • Securing Guidelines: Promoting current standards regarding quality, health & safety, environment, and security within the entire installation organization
  • KPI Management: (Co-)monitoring the installation margin (hours and material costs), safety targets, occupancy rates, absenteeism, stocks, etc.
  • Driving Improvement Culture: Creating and driving a culture of continuous improvement among the team, with the goal of increasing company-wide efficiency, reducing costs, and optimizing lead times
  • Inspirational Leadership: Providing inspirational leadership, coaching, and further development of the team. Serving as the supervisor for the installation team
  • Capacity and Development: Ensuring optimal capacity planning and actively stimulating the personal growth of employees through targeted education and training programs.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical and/or business administration background
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a commercial or operational role within a related technical industry
  • Experience with and knowledge of production engineering and/or bodybuilding operations/vehicle assembly is a strong plus
  • Demonstrable experience with P&L management, cost control, and managing financial and operational KPIs in a workshop environment is a strong plus
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, with the ability to translate theory (such as DMAIC) into practice
  • Good knowledge of current laws and regulations regarding installations, environment, and/or environmental permits
  • Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP) for planning, procurement, and generating management reports
  • A unifying leader with high integrity and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong business mindset, customer-oriented, and driven by results and long-term relationships
  • Fluent in verbal and written Finnish and English.
