Job summary

Hiab in Raisio, Finland (open to Tampere and Helsinki) is seeking an R&D Engineer, Control Systems to design and develop embedded software for demountable products. You will work closely with other departments and report to the R&D Manager.

The role covers PLC software, display/camera systems, and creating control solutions to meet customer needs. Collaboration with universities and suppliers is expected, with fluency in English and Finnish required.

Qualifications

• A university degree in a relevant technical field (Master's or Bachelor's).
• Experience in programming C, C++, Codesys and Qt.
• Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Finnish.

Responsibilities

• Design and development activities in PLC software in cooperation with specialists.
• Develop display and camera systems in demountables products.
• Create and implement new control solutions based on customer needs.
• Follow design processes: requirements, validation, software implementation and documentation.
• Collaborate with universities, suppliers and partners on control systems issues.
