Quantum Engineer, Calibration & Benchmarking at IQM Quantum Computers, Espoo, FI. A mid-level full time position in the Engineering team, listed under hardware engineering.

We are looking for a Quantum Engineer (Junior to Senior level) with an experimental background to join our Calibration and Benchmarking team, focusing on improving the performance of superconducting Quantum Processing Units (QPUs). In this role, you will work hands‑on with quantum hardware to develop, optimize, and execute calibration and benchmarking protocols. Your work will directly influence QPU performance by identifying bottlenecks, improving calibration strategies, and providing critical feedback to design, simulation, and fabrication teams. You will play a key role in validating new QPU architectures and supporting IQM's roadmap toward high-performance and scalable quantum computing systems.

What you’ll actually do
